Does the smell of paint cause painful headaches?

Because my room just got painted yesterday and i aired out the room and it was all dry and no smell in it today. So i go to bed and suddenly i get a searing pain in the back of my head. I didnt do anything abnormal that would affect my head like take any medicenes or bang it. Do you think the paint was the cause of this?
